“Our purpose in partnering with OnRequest, LLC is to provide health services to our rural community,” said Donna Isfort, Nurse Practitioner, and owner of Estill Medical Clinic. “This partnership represents our commitment to provide access to quality health care for all of our friends and neighbors in Estill County.”
Estill Medical Clinic has partnered with OnRequest, LLC to provide a mobile clinic health services unit to increase access to quality health services for the Estill County community. In addition to primary care, the unit will focus on Covid 19 health services and opioid use reduction services.
The mobile unit will be stationed at several locations throughout the county to provide various medical services including primary care, Covid 19 vaccine administration, Covid 19 testing and home test kits and N95 masks. In addition, the unit will have Peer Support Specialist services and will distribute Naloxone kits to families and others who may encounter those suffering opioid addiction.
“Health care is not just about a procedure or pill; it is more than that. It’s providing compassion, understanding and wrap around support and services that can improve the health of the whole person,” says Donna Isfort, APRN
"It is very clear that Estill County is ready to utilize mobile clinic visits through EMC's presence in the community", said Kevin McCarron, President, and co-founder of OnRequest. "We're ready to make mobile clinics a relatable and reliable option for everyone in Estill County."
“Every community can benefit from a mobile clinic presence. Our vision for mobile units is to increase access to an effective, memorable, and human encounter, improving patient experience” says Buddy Stewart, founder of OnRequest. “By reaching more communities and patients using mobile, these experiences will improve patient outcomes.”
The mobile clinic made its debut back in August at the Back to School Engineer Picnic at West Irvine Elementary School. The mobile clinic and health services unit has been stationed throughout various areas of the county on Tuesdays to bring quality health care to those that may have difficulty getting to the office. The location and hours of the mobile clinic are posted on social media. In addition to the services previously mentioned,
Estill Medical Clinic recently received the new Covid 19 booster vaccine and will be offering it at both the office and mobile unit.
